The Hire Desk Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hire desk by managing customer bookings, processing agreements, and providing excellent customer service. You will be a key point of contact for both customers and internal teams, handling inquiries, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining accurate records of rented equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as the first point of contact for existing and potential customers and engaging with them in a positive manner
- Administrating daily On & Off hires and weekly service rounds using our hire system
- Handling the enquiries, queries and supporting the needs of existing and potential customers in a professional manner.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed and up to date.
- Creating and processing quotes & contracts for hire.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with offering the best hire solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Facilitate cross hire of equipment & servicing from third party suppliers where necessary.
- Timely issue of hire contracts and supporting documentation.
- Engaging with customers in a positive manner.
- Being proactive in driving business sale and group offerings.

As a key member of the workshop, you will carry out vehicle examinations, repairs, and maintenance tasks and be able to work alone with the support of the Transport Manager. Your role as a technician will ensure all vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, performance and safety. Vehicles include Ford, Mercedes and Isuzu.
Key Responsibilities for Vehicle Technician:
- As a technician you will diagnose, repair and maintain cars, vans and welfare units, generators etc ensuring all work meets high standards.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep vehicles and welfare units in optimal working condition.
- Work with the Transport Manager and other yard technicians to provide efficient solutions for technical issues.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Provide updates to customers on repairs and address any concerns, maintaining excellent customer service.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills and a “Can Do Attitude”
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience as a technician working with cars and vans is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
