Brief
Our client was tasked with delivering a major development project in Ashford. The scale of the project required comprehensive site services, including the provision of high-quality welfare facilities for staff.
The initial site was established in May 2024. However, due to unforeseen delays beyond the client’s control, the project was put on hold in September. Four Jays was instructed to cease equipment hire, arrange immediate removal, and await further instructions until appropriate planning permissions were secured.

Challenge
In early 2025, the client received approval to proceed but faced significant logistical hurdles due to the short notice. Securing materials, coordinating team schedules, and ensuring access to adequate welfare facilities presented pressing challenges.
On January 7, the client contacted Four Jays to request the re-establishment of welfare units matching or comparable to those previously supplied. Groundworkers could not return to the site until suitable facilities were in place, making rapid deployment essential to avoid further delays.
Solution
Following consultation with the client, Four Jays prioritised the delivery of a welfare unit offering both a heated canteen and a toilet facility. The unit was promptly collected from our depot the next day. Within 48 hours of the initial request, our team successfully re-established a complete site setup, meeting the client’s requirements without issue. With welfare facilities reinstated, construction resumed immediately, keeping the project on track for its next phase.
